Psoas Release (or ‘Constructive Rest’)
Prop your shoulder blades up on 2-4 pillows. You may also like another small pillow under your head.
Legs and feet are hip distance apart, and allow the front of your rib cage to comfortably drop into the down position, so it’s no longer elevated.
If you’re fighting or holding your ribs down, you may need to prop your shoulder blades up with more pillows.
Place your arms by your sides, or on your body – whatever feels good.
Close your eyes, breathe and just relax.
Stay here for 5-10 minutes releasing tension, particularly as the psoas passes through the hips.
